Atterbury – Bakalar Air Museum

In the honor of Sir William Wallace Atterbury, a Brigadier General, who served in the World War I, this museum in Columbus Indiana is named the ‘Atterbury – Bakalar Air Museum’. It was built in the memory of all those who served in one way or other in the wars and conflicts between the time span of 1942 to 1970.

The mission of this museum is to uphold the history, educate people in the area about aircraft and honor the soldiers and those who fought in wars and who are presently working in the defense field.
