
St. Peter's Lutheran Church is located at 719 5th Street, Columbus, Indiana, built in 1988, designed by Gunnar Birkerts, with geographic location as 39°12'11"north 85°54'56"west. The church has two buildings based on modern architecture. The building is made up of copper and clad in a brick which makes the building stronger than normal concrete brickwork.
The total height of the copper clad spire from ground level is 186 feet which is viewable from long distances. The interior architecture of the sanctuary consists of natural and artificial lightning with diversities in form and textures. The interior mainly consists of limestone, maple furniture and maple liturgical. The surfaces are white in color which is curved at some places and flat at some places.
Primary objective of the church is to spread literacy and education. The committees are involved in education, religious activities and charity. They help people in worshiping God and promote corporate worship. The Director of Worship is Lisa Lohmeyer. The Operation Team act as helping hand and promote leadership whenever needed.
St Peter's Lutheran Church has its origin in East Germany where people decided to migrate to America, because of their religious circumstances. The very first St. Peter's Lutheran Church and school in America was at New York. Teaching religion was of great importance in school with strict discipline. English was introduced after 1930’s and German was included after 1940’s. The church believes in

• Sacraments: God cares for his children and is always there to help them.
• The Church: Church is created by God, spreading his love.
The members believe in Bible and claims that they were called by Jesus at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
